When should I book my family photos?
I recommend booking your session as early as possible, especially if you're hoping for a specific season or date. Fall peak season sessions tend to fill quickly, so planning ahead is always a good idea!
When is the best time for maternity photos?
Many expecting parents choose to schedule their maternity session during the later part of pregnancy, often when their baby bump is nicely visible while they're still feeling comfortable. Every pregnancy is different, though, so we can find a time that works best for you!
What should we wear for our family or maternity session?
I recommend choosing outfits that make you feel comfortable and confident while coordinating colors without everyone wearing exactly the same thing. Once your session is booked, I'll provide guidance to help you prepare and also will send you a client welcome and location guide!
What if my kids don't cooperate during photos?
Don't worry! Kids don't have to sit perfectly still or smile at the camera the entire session. I use prompts and allow room for movement and genuine interaction because some of the best photographs happen in those in-between moments. And I have been known to do some silly things to get your little ones to laugh!
Can my partner and other children be included in my maternity photos?
Absolutely! Your maternity session can be about you, you and your partner, or the entire family. We can capture this season in whatever way feels most meaningful to you.
Do you travel for family and maternity sessions?
Yes! I'm based in St. Marys, Ohio, and serve West Central Ohio and surrounding areas. I'm always open to photographing at new locations, and travel fees may apply depending on the location.
